One of a Kind Santa's & Such
The wonder of Christmas morning is like no other day for children around the world. Santa represents happiness, excitement, joy and love on that special day.
As a child, like many other children, Santa always fascinated me. As an adult, my love for art led me to create my own vision of this jolly old elf. I have a studio in my home where it remains Christmas all year long. I also create many one of a kind Art Dolls that are as unique and original as my Santa's and Elves. I consider each one of my original art doll Santa’s a labor of love. This is why I am very selective about the materials I use. For the face, hands, legs, feet and boots, I use Prosculpt clay. It helps me give each Santa the warm natural expression he deserves. Fine glass eyes add that special twinkle. For the snowy white hair and flowing beards, I choose the softest mohair. I use a wire armature to create each Santa’s pose. Over this, I make a soft sculpture body. Since clothes make the man, I design and sew each Santa’s outfit, carefully adding special trims, tiny treasures and toys to complement the ensemble.
I hope that my Santa’s will warm your heart with the pure joy, and childlike wonder of Christmas morning. Finally, may all your presents be too big to fit down the chimney!
